An Introduction to the Canon Digital Camera
By Alfred Lebeau

It seems just yesterday when film cameras were the only acceptable equipment in professional photography. But times have changed and digital cameras have evolved through the years. There are many digital cameras now that can take pictures that have the same quality as film cameras and sometimes even better. They even provide some savings as camera owners need not spend much anymore on rolls of film and film development. Now, among the brands of digital cameras available in the market, Canon’s name continues to join the list of leaders.

Canon Inc. originated from Japan and is now one of the leading multinational companies in the world with headquarters in Tokyo. It manufactures optical and imaging products such as photocopiers, computer printers and of course cameras and camcorders. The Canon brand has long been synonymous with quality. Their digital cameras are some of the most stylish yet most technologically advance in the market today. Canon digital cameras are also well known for being easy to use with simple functions that don’t confuse users.

DSLR Cameras

Since 1984, Canon has been in the forefront of the digital camera business, manufacturing and distributing the cameras beginning with the RC-701. This started the RC series which was later followed other series such as the PowerShot as well as the Digital IXUS. Canon later took pride in the development of the EOS series of DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) cameras that includes the high-end professional models. Just recently, Canon included its latest technology into the manufacturing of all their cameras – the Thermal Transition Copying. The process involved with the manufacturing of cameras allows their polymer casing to slightly change their temperature through an exothermic kind of reaction that is triggered by built-in electronic sensors. This helps prevent condensation inside a camera which is a too often problem that happens when using SLR cameras under certain conditions.

What makes Canon cameras a cut above the rest are the features. Most Canon cameras have 6 megapixels of resolution. They are employing their latest technology called Canon Image Stabilizer. The zoom lens can go in as much as 4x allowing you to get up close and personal with your object. Furthermore, the camera also had the ISO 8-0 as well as auto settings High ISO for those low-light photo ops. This cuts down the blur which could happen as result of prolong use of the camera as well as exposure to the sun’s heat and light.

The Canon 70D Rumor

A few months back Canon released the 60D which critics quickly panned. Some say Nikon managed to steal the limelight due to this model that Canon die-hards complained to be uncompetitive. It had no microAF adjustment, featured plastic body, lower FPS and smaller buffer. With this developments, rumors quickly spread of the coming of the Canon 70D. Fans claim the company will be releasing this model to address the many complaints of consumers regarding the 60D.

Industry experts say the rumors may possibly be real as Canon is not one let competition edge them out. Furthermore, Canon’s corporate history shows that it has done this strategy before. In the past, when its 40D was released featuring the 230K LCD and was quickly adjudged as a far cry from their competitor, Nikon’s D90 with 920K LCD, the company veered away from its usual 18 months cycle and released the 50D very early. This quick move matched the other brand’s 920K LCD.

We combine many years of experience on the subject, we like to inform the readers about the growing need for the perfect shot, you will find the Best Digital Camera 2012.

The Canon T3 is among the most suggested basic DSLR’s for budding photographers. It has all the essential features required to jumpstart a profession in professional photography and it comes at a quite realistic price of $549.99.

However do not allow its price cheat you. This is not some inexpensive DSLR look-alike that uses low quality photos. It absolutely is at par with some of the best cameras in the marketplace today. Every box includes the Canon t3 body, its accompanying EF-S type II lens, the eyecup, a wide strap, interface cable, battery pack and charger, the camera’s solution disk and instruction handbook.

This simple ensemble is everything an amateur photographer needs to deliver great photos and fun videos. The 12.2 Megapixel Canon T3 offers high-quality image whilst maintaining a sleek compact design.

Some may reveal that the quality of the images and the controls offered by this entry-level camera don’t encourage its user to be more imaginative and daring. However the true beauty of this camera lies in its capacity to teach its user the essentials of good and decent photography ahead of getting to more complex shots and visuals. A newbie needs to perform and master accurate lighting and exposure along with composition and camera angles before he can completely learn and appreciate the use of aperture adjustments, focal lengths, shutter speed adjustments and depth of field measurements.

Like the majority Canon products, this camera has an ISO 100-6400 for outstanding transition when shooting from bright to dim light.

Its enhanced HD motion picture mode comes with built-in camera movie editing options. Exact metering is guaranteed between exposures with its dual-layer metering system. The LCD monitor is a 2.7 inch wide monitor. A live view function is also added for enhanced viewing. Imaging features like basic mode, quick setting function, and creative auto are too incorporated in this camera to offer its consumer the capability to customize the camera according to purpose. Beginners would find the new feature guide and quick control panel hugely useful with its brief descriptions of each function.

The Canon T3 can not offer the best frame rate speed and burst depth however it still does the task better than most. Some users might protest of its weak flash but that may be remedied. One can also choose to obtain a separate compatible lens for more sophisticated shooting if wanted. Last but not the least, since it is planned for newbies, you may rest assured that every feature avaiable on this camera can be straightforwardly understood and put to apply.

Everyone has an eye for beauty. And some would like to capture that image and post it for the world to see and appreciate. With the growing legions of people who take photography as a hobby, it would be helpful if a beginner has an idea on what to look for besides an easy-to-use camera.

This Canon t3i review will enlighten newbie photographers about the basics of this popular entry-level DSLR performance without needing to spend days figuring out how to go about taking that first shot.

This camera promises its user a relatively high image quality with its 18.0 megapixel sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor. It means that it can capture images with great clarity and tonal range. Its high resolution will not affect picture clarity during enlargement and crops either. It has an expandable ISO of up to 12800, appropriate for shooting images from bright to dim light. It also comes with an improved full HD video recording with manual exposure control and expanded recording.

This Canon t3i review offers acknowledgment to the camera’s new scene intelligent auto mode and scene detection system enabling the consumer to capture panoramic scenes with ease. Starter users may opt to capture with the camera’s native automatic settings while advanced photographers use their own preferred shooting adjustments. One’s individual imagination might be expressed with the camera’s advanced imaging features like the Multi-Aspect mode, Basic mode, and Creative filters.

For easy instructions on the controls and settings, the t3i has added a new feature guide that gives its consumer brief descriptions of each function and a fast control display for hassle-free operation.

Preceding owners of Canon EF along with EF-S lenses might apply their pre-existing lenses with this model since they are compatible with each other. This model is fitting with SD, SDHC, SDXC memory cards.

This Canon t3i review advises its consumers that operation of this camera’s controls could be get a little complicated at first. The T3i can not be the most excellent when it comes to capturing moving targets specially sports events, children during play time and pets as a result of its slow frame rate. It also is susceptible to overexpose in bright daylight so it is best to observe correct lighting. Generally, regardless of the shortcomings, this camera is competent of capturing high-quality still as well as video images that will make a starter feel and look like a professional.

Read the full Canon EOS Rebel T3i quick review at dpreview.com
Canon has unveiled the EOS T3i (known in Europe as the EOS 600D) upper entry-level DSLR. It continues to use the 18MP CMOS sensor seen in the Rebel T2i (550D) but gains a tilt and swivel 1,040k dot LCD monitor like the one offered on the more expensive 60D. It also gains the ability to remotely control flashguns using its internal flash, a feature previously only featured on higher-end models. Alongside the camera, Canon is also launching the 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II, a cosmetically revised version of its optically stabilized kit lens. We’ve had a chance to use pre-production versions of both and have prepared a Hands-On Preview of the EOS 600D including beta samples gallery.

Anyone watching the emergence of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras will have spent much of the last year patiently waiting for Canon and Nikon to show their hands. Nikon clearly decided such cameras didn’t need large sensors, and now it appears Canon has concluded they don’t need interchangeable lenses. Both these moves make sense for companies wanting dedicated photographers to keep buying DSLRs, but Canon’s approach is likely to be of more interest to those enthusiasts.

Whenever a new model Canon is due out the internet becomes rampant with rumors regarding features, pricing, and technical specifications. The expected Canon EOS 650D is no exception!

I’ve scoured the internet looking for clues about the newest Canon, and while I’ve found some promising information, no one seems to have anything solid. What has been confirmed is that the model will be called the 650D for most of the world and the T4i for those in the US. No big surprise there.

So we have the EOS Rebel T4i or EOS 650D… How about new features? Now comes the exciting part. What I got excited about was the possibility of autofocus while in video mode. Ummm… about time? Do you really expect consumer camera buyers to be proficient enough with the manual focus ring to be capable of keeping their moving subjects in focus?

So, hopefully we will see the addition of video mode auto focus. Exactly what are some other rumors? How about the addition of the DIGIC-5 processor? This could be a good welcome improvement to speed and improvement in photo level of quality, in particular for very low light source or higher ISO shooting. This may be very true if perhaps Canon stays with the 18 mega-pixel APS-C sensing unit just as on the older 600D.

However, it’s also been rumored that a new 24 mega-pixel sensor may make it into the new EOS 650D. Personally, I would rather gain better low light images than a bit higher resolution. But that’s just me.

A French e-book regarding the EOS 650D has been noticed at Amazon online marketplace — and then without delay removed. One of the most interesting things about this Amazon oops! is the fact that the e-book possessed a release day listed… wait for it… The 17th of May! Now that doesn’t mean the new 650D is going to be unveiled on the 17th — nevertheless I think it indicates it will be launched possibly on or even before the seventeenth!

With NAB 2012 currently being held in Las Vegas, one must wonder if the announcement could be made this week. Time will only tell!

The Rebel sequence has established to be a well-liked choice for followers of the Digital slr camera. Comparatively affordable and straightforward to apply, this brings the vaunted EOS system to a lighter, more compact platform. This has established to be a success, and the T2i is arguably the most excellent in the Eos rebel series. But less than a year after the announcement of the Eos rebel t2i, the Eos rebel t3i, basically an updated adaptation of the T2i, was subsequently released.

Since they are essentially similar, it caused confusion among camera fans. What exactly is the difference between the T2i and the T3i and to are these camera’s recommended to? We are going to discuss that and more in this comparison between the Canon T2i vs T3i.

Before we go any further, it is worth noting that the T2i and T3i are essentially identical with each other. But of course, the T3i has certain updates that make it a (slightly) different model from the T2i. So before we jump into the comparisons, we’ll analyze the similarities between these 2 cameras first. For starters, it features the same body frame, LCD size, sensor, image processor, and autofocus system, meaning that for the most part, these cameras are almost identical. But when it comes to prices, the T3i is slightly more expensive. With that being said, we’ll now analyze the differences between the 2.

The Canon T2i vs T3i comparison gets a a wee bit complicated once their differences are discussed. First off, there are a number of updates featured in the T3i. The T3i features an articulated LCD system, native wireless control of off-camera flash, and digital zooming capabilities while shooting 1080p videos. In addition, some of its ergonomic properties were changed for better comfort and protection while handling the camera.

So which people are better off buying the Eos rebel t2i and who are the ones more happy with the Canon eos rebel t3i? If you are applying your camera to simply take photos, then the T2i is still more than competitive in that regard. However for individuals who want to capture videos also, the articulated screen of the Eos rebel t3i might establish to be valuable for some, as well as the digital zoom during video recording.

With all things considered, there actually is no comparison between Canon T2i vs T3i since they share a lot of parts and features with each other. What we can tell you though is this, if you’ve a remote trigger for your camera and you don’t in actuality should use your camera for video shooting, the Eos rebel t2i is more than good enough. But if you’re a video fan, the Eos rebel t3i is unquestionably the better choice.
