If my canon camera is compatible with Canon EF and EF-s lenses, what does that mean? does it mean it is compat?

does it mean it is compatible with all canon lenses?

First, sorry I don’t speak Greek, what is "compat?"

EOS – Electronic Optical System. It’s the system that all Canon Rebel cameras use for their lenses.
All it really means is the lens is electric. Since you didn’t tell us what camera you have, I can only assume it’s a Rebel, then yes all EOS lenses. EF = Electronic Focus.
EF-s = Electronic Focus – Short Back Focus. This means there’s a shorter distance between the back element of the lens and the sensor than there is with EF lenses. Not all canon cameras are
compatible with EFs lenses.

It’s compatible with all EOS lenses but not older FD and FL (manual focus) lenses.

If your camera is compatible with both EF and EF-s lenses, then yes, it can use all EF or EF-s lenses made since 1987.

    Hey,

EF and EF-S lenses are for all DSLRs today.

    Here’s a post about EF and EF-s: http://the-digital-photographer.blogspot.com/2010/04/canon-ef-and-ef-s-lenses.html

    Good luck.

    No
Your camera is either a Rebel or part of the 20D-30D-40D-50D, 7D line. 1.6 crop cameras.

While your camera can use EF and EF-S, if you should move into the 1D series, 10D, 5Dmodels -
Those cameras can only use EF. These cameras are either full frame or 1.3 crop cameras.
The exception is the 10D, it is a 1.6 crop.
