    before i brought my eos500d
    i was told to buy the grip so glad i did as i have big hands and it does really help when taken portraits
    as for batterys m8 ive just brought some Energizer CA-LPE5 Li-ion Battery from jessops any as spare ones any £20 each

    It’s a good idea to go for the genuine canon grip too. There’s lots of knock off’s and i’ve read they don’t always have the same feel… especially the shutter release button.

    I had no idea that …
    I had no idea that grip could accept AA batteries! That’s a great feature. I was going to get one anyway, but that’s a big plus. I will get an eyepiece extender too. I have been smudging the LCD screen today trying to get used to the viewfinder. Thanks again! Anything you can think to do about this camera is great! I like the videos a lot.
